J & J Snack Foods Reports First Quarter Sales And Earnings - Yahoo Finance

Earnings per diluted share decreased 9% to $.60 for the first quarter from $.66 last year. Operating income decreased 8% to $16.6 million in the current quarter from $18.0 million in the year ago quarter. Gerald B. Shreiber, J & J's President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "In addition to the seasonal loss of our PHILLY SWIRL business which was acquired in May 2014, our operating income was impacted by higher operating expenses of our ICEE frozen beverage business during its seasonally low period and soft volume and higher costs in our food service business." Phillip J. Dawson : Houston County News

His greatest passions were automobiles, manicuring his lawn and grilling for his family. Phil was also president of the Prince of Peace Cemetery Committee for several years. He worked many years in sales and eventually retired as a security guard at Xcel Energy. Phil will be remembered for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. He will be sadly missed. Phil was preceded in death by his parents and son, Mark Dawson.

State Sen. Ray Lesniak and Monmouth Park Racetrack attorney Dennis Drazin , both strong supporters of sports gambling in New Jersey, said Wednesday they won't seek to file a motion to have U.S. District Judge Michael Shipp remove himself from the case after brother Marcel Shipp 's hiring. Marcel Shipp is a former NFL player who was hired by the Jets this week as a running backs coach. Last fall, Lesniak, a Democrat, publicly called for Michael Shipp to recuse himself from the case due to his brother's connection to the NFL, which included a minority coaching fellowship with the Arizona Cardinals .

Survivors include one son, Dale Schreiber and wife Beth of Gray, Tenn.; two daughters, Pam Joy and husband Fred of Hays, and Terrie Vandine of Wichita; one brother, Kenneth Schreiber and wife Joan of Olmitz; one sister, Betty Pancost and husband Allen of Sterling, Colo.; one sister-in-law, Beatrice Schreiber of Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Josh) Callahan, Jeff Schreiber, Chrisy (Tony) Crough, Scott (Briar) Schreiber, Jessica Vandine, Brett Schreiber, Katie Joy, and Courtney Vandine; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Father Paul Schreiber J.C.B.
